I highly support requirements to identify benefitial owners of corporations, but this law only requires that discloser for small companies:
Larger companies that employ more than 20 people, have revenues above $5 million and a physical presence in the US, are exempt from the act. Churches, charities and other non-profits are also exempt.
So, if you're a larger organized crime syndicate, you're exempt? Classic murica. All the posturing, none of that worrisome crime prevention. I mean, we really need to stamp out the retail shoplifters, because they're infringing on the profits of the larger mafia orgs!

Yes, it should apply for all companies and non-profits and religious orgs. But I would be surprised if it really happens.
